Hi Linda, I've found some of the guys online are not that interested in meeting new people, they are either in a relationship, trying to have some fun on the side or just plain playing. I've had my share of strange guys, some will wink, send a message, I've replied, never to hear from them again. I just got one that sounded so interested in me, he's the one that initiated the contact, see my post under "want to meet on the rebound" then emails me telling me that he's all hurt right now and just venting his frustration with me. Do you think I feel excited to meet him? I said no thank you.

So yes, some guys are too insecure, like the one that just contacted you, I can't believe he hid his profile from you, I say you sounded interested enough, he's just a weirdo, delete him.

I have so many old stories of guys pulling stuff, It isn't even funny. The only advice I can give is grow that supper, dupper industrial strength tough skin because you will need it. Take it all with a grain of salt, hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
I truly hope for you and everyone else here, that you defy the odds and do meet someone special. I'm giving it a rest for a while, and just try the traditional way to meet guys.

Hey, just some opinion from a different perspective. Maybe I am a sensitive person, but if a guy replies with just "what would you like to talk about?" I would think that he sounds cold and not interested too. Typed words can sometimes have unexpected effects than if you were to say these words in real life (with a smile on your face and flirtatious tone in the voice). Perhaps if you end the question with a smiley or winked smiley, that would be better. However, I do agree that this guy's reaction is a bit uncool.

My 2 cents.

I will agree that sometimes things fall flat when written in an email.
