Sparkle of course you can find a boyfriend! I think you worry about a lot of stuff that probably isn't as big of a deal as you think. I think that because I KNOW I am that way. A book I read recently had a great quote in it that was "No one is thinking about you. They are all thinking about themselves just like you are." Kind of a selfish way of thinking but then again, not. Just tell what you want to tell and don't divulge what you are not comfortable with.
I chuckled at the "land of misfit toys" thing. That is great. But yeah, gotta agree with lg that the saying he meets a lot of cold and bitchy women thing could be a potential red flag. But if he doesn't seem too bad, there is nothing wrong with meeting him and seeing how it goes. But if he complains about women again - he might be a woman hater. Who knows?
In business when I'm going to meet a prospective client - if they have anything bad to say about a past consultant (huge huge red flag if it's more than one past consultant) -- I am positive that I'm the next guy they're going to be telling bad stories about.
It took me a while to figure this out (ie. maybe the problem was with THE CLIENT and not all the wacko consultants who didn't know what they were doing...)
I think that if you were having a conversation about some of your less than normal meets, that is not so bad but it is still probably something to keep an eye open about. Not that he is looking for sex, but just like what lg was saying - if someone complains all the time about the people being bitchy or whiny or whatever, maybe it is more a indicator that THIS person is the one to worry about, not the ones they are going out with. Good luck!

I'll be the first to call red flag on this:
"He says he meets a lot of cold and bitchy women and he's looking for someone who is happy and wants to have fun"

Hey LG-
Haven't seen much of you this weekend.
Yes, but, I did it too!!!!
Damn....this is vexing!
>>He says he wants to have fun when he goes out and just have a good time with no bitching.
Know any guys that don't want to do this? ....
My kids are with me this weekend. Sledding, sledding, and the germ pit (Great Escape - a local ball pit and slides where kids exchange flu virus).
Gee - you people without kids just think we have all the time in the world to chit chat
