Wow! A girl gets busy and misses some time on the board, then goes away for a week with no computer, and what does she find? A whole gaggle of new names and postings full of newbies up and coming, folks learning about OLD, being able to give advice to the other newbies, and lots of good news.

I hope everyone is doing well!! I am still cleaning up my tea from reading what "LG" actually stands for and spitting it out through my nose. Trying to catch up on the posts, but I don't know if I will be able to...you guys have been busy!

My update for OLD progress is short but sweet. Sailboy/Golfboy (E) is still in the picture. We have only had 2 dates, but are planning to have dinner tomorrow night. Between being 1 1/2 hours apart and both having weird schedules it has been a challenge to get together, but I also like this taking is slow thing....weeks between dates is fine for me right now. We do keep in contact most days though. He even reached out while I was away this week (via text msg) to see how things were going and say hi. I have mentioned his sense of humor before and I still laugh a lot in our conversations (phone/im). We joked about the "3rd date rule" for putting out, which is sort of funny since we have only had a brief, chaste goodbye kiss once! He knows that just isn't on the agenda!!

Had emails from 2 other guys when I got back on Sunday. Both have nice photos and profiles...for whatever that is worth. I emailed both of them back and have already heard back from one of them. That guy seems to have a lot of things in common with me, my past travel and living experiences, has a dog JUST LIKE MINE, and also a nice tone to his emails. We'll see where those two head...

ALSO!!! OMG!! The guy that I got all bent out of shape about in Dec. who sent me the "I am persuing another relationship" email after we had spent all this (hehheh) MEANINGFUL time talking on line and SHARING all our thoughts on life and feelings (gack, puke, yes I know better NOW!!!!) after one date has been nosing around since that relationship has ended. Because I feel fairly secure and confident as well as much more knowledgeable about OLD now I have exchanged a few emails with him, just for s & g's. He can tell that I am not the innocent little bippy I used to be.

So well wishes and hugs to everyone. Glad to see the new and old names in the posts!

You most certainly do, as I live on the west coast and haven't worn a coat outside for weeks now. I wear a suit to work, so that's been warm enough.

I don't recall us getting any snow at all that one week of winter that we had.

But now the rain is coming, and will fall for some time. Right, Sheri?

Summer...85 degrees....tank tops...mmmmmmmmmm. Sigh.

I have two feet of snow here from when I was away. Luckily, the days have been warm and it is melting, but still.

I am buying a small day spa business. The current set up is 3 nail gals and one facial/waxing/body stuff gal (esethetitian...sp?). The business has been in the area for 20 years with only one (the current) owner. I will add to that my massage therapy practice. VERRRRRY exciting, scary, overwhelming, intimidating, cool...you name it. I change my mind every five minutes from being elated to wanting to curl up in the fetal position (you know...with the cats, and the Jim Beam, under the table, looking for my teeth....)

So not this summer, but maybe Fall or Winter we need to have a round up here in Maine where I can treat all the girls to discounted spa days, pedicures, BIKINI WAXES, massages....you name it! Why, we can even get LG, Eric, TT, John...(and that other guy you INSIST on bickering with LOL) lined up for some nail care or back waxing. heh heh!

thanks for asking. I am off to bed. More business plan to work on in the a.m. BLEH.

Hugs (and a little good natured nudge and wink about the bickering thing....) :)

That does sound exciting! That is a great business to be into these days - everyone wants to chill out and get a massage and a manicure! I try to treat myself at least once a month. Good luck - buying an established business will be a big help too. And hey, Maine in the summer sounds awesome. It will be 110 here for about 2 months so getting away to some nice, cool place would be awesome! I usually try to take a trip up north to get away from the heat.

And no more bickering for me. I realized how stupid it was and it was like beating my head against a wall. Way too much effort and stress for something that really doesn't matter anyway. I've turned my music to the "meditation" station on Yahoo Launch Plus and staying mellow and calm! :-)
