Bowling, shopping, dancing, sitting at the bar, walking down the street..... there are so many other ways than online dating. For most here, it's just another avenue, not the ONLY one to meet people!!
Of course, the best way is getting drunk in a bar (joke).
The last guy I met and am dating I met thru a friend – her cousin (she fixed us up). I leave all doors open i.e. on line dating, grocery stores, friends (fix ups) – you never know.
I was just curious if anyone met someone the way i did witch was online playing a game....and meeting someone that way its hard to often plan you meet because it is a game no one plays to look for a SO it just kind of happened. JUst kinda of was looking for advise about how to handle a different accpect of OLD....thanks =)
I continue to run into people who have met their spouse or significant other through set-ups (blind dates). So far, that has not panned out for me. I am still gun-shy about anymore set-ups, although I have a couple offers on the table from friends who want me to meet someone. One friend is the same gal who set-up the very bad blind date back in April.
There is nothing wrong with meeting someone online, but I have been doing this for 6 months now with no real success (so far). It would help if the men I met were just as serious about finding someone as I was. Most of them seem to have put their profiles on out of curiosity or just for kicks. Surely there are some who are sincere and don't want to play games. Hearing those e-harmony commercials doesn't do much for my ego at the present time. :0 I wonder how many disasters there are with e-harmony? You don't hear the commercials about those. LOL
Of course......

I think she means meet someone ONLINE through other means than a dating service.
