Hi all,

Remember the guy that I went out to lunch with the other day when all of my co-workers were in the same restaurant staring us down?

Well, blow me down, but the guy actually called. And called. And called. And called. He seems to like to talk on the phone (I've talked to him three times already today and a couple of times yesterday), but he hasn't asked for a second date yet. This is getting a little bizarre.

Do you think he's just looking for a phone buddy? How can I push the envelope and get him to ask for another date? I've dropped hint after hint about my schedule, but he doesn't seem to take the bait.

Well, he's showing enough interest, why don't YOU ask him??

You have to remember "most" men aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. Of course, except for the men here!

Sounds like he's a dumb bunny. You're going to have to ask him out point blank, using words of one syllable.

And no, he's probably not LOOKING for a phone buddy exactly, but he is having fun with you over the phone and is falling into habit. You must nip that in the bud as soon as possible.

Who invited whom to the last lunch date?

What I've done in similar situations is to say (or email) something like, "I enjoyed meeting you and would really like to get together again. Give me a call when you're ready to schedule another get together". Then, if he doesn't say anything the next time you talk, I don't respond to further calls. I'm not looking for a pen pal or phone buddy!
