Just wondering if anyone has ever ditched a date that was just horrible that you couldn't stand one more moment of being with them? Kim

If I have, I keep it to a half hour and say well thanks for meeting me out today but I need to get going as I forgot about something I have to get done before such and such.

Yes! I normally like the first meeting to be short just in case it's intolerable (for either one of us). I like to meet a new prospect at Starbucks for coffee. It's a non-threatening atmosphere and you don't have to stay long. This past weekend I deviated from my usual plan and met a prospect for dinner at a nice restaurant by the beach. He looked great on paper, a nice voice, and spoke intelligently. He had all the criteria that I was looking for and was also more attractive in person than in his photos. The problem with him was that he was the most vulgar idiot I'd ever met. I was shocked that a 44 year old man would think that it was alright to share his fantasies of group sex and illicit affairs within the first half hour of meeting me. He was on auto-pilot and wouldn't shut his mouth. I was so disgusted with his behavior that I couldn't just ditch him without letting him know what a disgraceful piece of crap he was. I calmly and politely asked the waiter for the check and excused myself. I could see the shock and embarrassment in his face as I walked out the door. From now on I'm sticking to Starbucks!

Oh, gosh, that's terrible! My experiences with having dinner on your first meet haven't been QUITE so bad (more of the looking at my watch under the table and wishing I were home watching TV variety) but I stick with Starbucks too for the most part.

OMG! This guy has no self awareness at all!!! He sent me an email last night telling me that he hoped he didn't do anything to offend me...and sent me this little note that I copied and pasted:

Women love being "nasty" for their hearthrob men....u look good in jeans!

WTF! Where do these men come from? I know where he works and what he does. I even met some of his friends. He's extremely successful, well-educated and normal in everyway except for his deviant mind! I think he's always been able to get away with this behavior because no one has done anything about it. Ladies, please do not let these creeps behave badly toward you. I have no problem getting all up in their sh*t if they're offensive in any way. He's blocked!
