Beautiful outside here (Northeast) - got outdoors a bit - renting a video tonight.
Haven't been posting much lately - hope everyone has been doing real well!!!!
Catch me up on board gossip!!! Is NGOL still solely dating that chicklet? Is CountryGirlUpNorth still with the same dude?

I suspect that everyone is really busy this weekend b/c the board's been really quiet for the past couple of days.
I'm pretty much staying home. Yesterday I vegged - really lazy mood. Today I'm cleaning. It's a beautiful day so I keep taking breaks to go out to the balcony.
NGOL and CGUN are still blissfully happy with their mates. So is small_peanut. A few others here are regularly dating someone as well.
A couple of new people have joined our community.
And that's about all.
Thanks for asking!!
I've had a wonderful kid-less weekend so far. Played hookey from work on Friday, 2 of my books came in at the library so I read all day. Saturday afternoon I spent at my spa getting beautiful, then it came all undone this morning because I spent Saturday night at the pub with my Dad and one of my brothers! I'm back looking like a hag.
Event of note: went shopping for new sandals and found the perfect ones within 2 minutes!
Also: may have a date shortly, as I've begun emailing with a fellow. Only problem is my interest level is way low, in general not because of him. But I will keep at it.
Glad you're back, city!!

Hi Y'all,
Well, you are gonna want to stick scissors in my neck for this one....
I have just spent 3 Glorious days in Savannah, Georgia with Tall Man. Wonderful dinners, shopping and sightseeing, listening to good live music at night, the chance to dress up for some great nights out.
Hoping that this shows everyone here to Keep on Rolling On! Good things CAN happen, and I think it is happening on Planet Cupcake. The compatibility, chem. 101, and also the friendship and caring is there...all oars in the water! As per my OLD heart...we will see what develops and I will keep you all posted.
HE brought up taking our profiles down, at a romantic dinner, and I agreed. Cool that!
Now to walk this, day by day, and see where we go....it surely feels Great!
truly,
Cupcake
IF I was meeting somebody in savanah, possibly the
most romantic place on earth, me, I would have taken
my profile down as soon or sooner as plans was made.
however, I totally congratulate you on your success!
This is so great, and gives us all hope.
I'm really happy for you!
You need to give details like: where are you from and where
is he from (?)
I only mention this because I have recently re learned, what I already
knew, that I should never even first date a girl that was raised
above richmond. I'm looking for an extra confirmation on that.
Thanks.
I am soooo happy for you, cupcake!!!
I don't know what we'll do without your cheerful posts, however! Maybe you'll stick around just for the laughs??

Hi Cupcake,
I'm so glad to hear that things are moving along so well for you and Tall man. It sounds like you had a wonderful time in Savannah. Taking the profiles down is another step. The guy I'm dating now and I did that after a couple of weeks also.
Most of my weekends I now spend with him and we go out and do fun things but also some boring stuff here and there that you have to get done on the weekend, but that's what it's about when combining lives. He took me up flying this weekend and we flew to a casino (about an hour flight), gambled a little, and had a great dinner. When we were traveling there, the sun was setting and it was so pretty. He let me take the controls for a little while and I moved the plane up and down some, but I gave them back to him quickly! Furniture shopping was also something on the agenda this past weekend but we managed to get outside and to enjoy the beautiful sunny warm weather also here in MI.
I'm glad things are working well for you, and I know what you mean about going day by day - that's what I've been doing with this relationship and trying not to overanalyze it either, just to enjoy it for what it is.
I think you and I have done OLD for awhile before coming across decent guys that we clicked with. I wanted to give up many times and just not do OLD, but I'm glad I continued to do it. There are possibilities with OLD. Have fun with your new relationship!

Friday for me (lately I’ve been with M every weekend); watched Dateline NBC (I actually love doing this on a Friday & haven’t in a long while as I’m with M) – got up early and got my nails done. Headed down to M’s house, had lunch and later got take out sushi and a blockbuster. Sunday we went to the Grand Prix down in Long Beach and partied on his friends boat all day and night – also had a nice dinner.

Yes, and apparently we traded colds over the past week or so and have alternately been laid up in bed, moaning and feeling very sorry for ourselves.
As it turns out, she is a much better sick person than I am. I get horribly whiny, moaning and crying and grumpy and irritable and cranky and just generally difficult to be around.
And despite all that... we're still an item. So we must truly be made for each other; anyone that can put up with me when I'm sick is really a keeper! :)
