I've been going back and forth with a guy on okcupid.com, but not too much because I think he might be a loon.

Why is he asking where a street is? What was the context?

Nah, I think he was trying to let me know he knows more about me than I realize.

Just a thought, but do you by any chance use the same screen name for more then 1 place? For example, I used the same screen name for a few boards I am on. Needless to say I was bored once and googled that screen name and

Would creep me out too!! very much so.

I've heard you can look up email addresses to get phone number/home address, but I have no idea how to do that. Or even if it's true.

Also, another poster had mentioned googling your screen name. That's a possibility.

If you're on FB or myspace, or?? Maybe that's how this guy got your street name.

For example - something weird that recently happened to me ..... someone I had emailed a few times 3 years ago on Match.... recently requested to be my "friend" on Facebook. I just joined FB, and I get this friend request.... and I KNOW I never gave him my last name. It took me a bit to figure out who he is. My guess is he searched FB using email addresses and that's how he found me. (btw,I did not accept his friend request :) Maybe that's how this guy found your name. Then googled you from there.

Weird.

Good luck. Initially, I'd say block him... but it's probably better that you don't so you can keep tabs on if he's viewing your profile, etc. Definitely don't respond to him.

Good luck,
zjaney

I had an online guy keep popping up as wanting to friend me on Facebook, too. Needless to say, I ignored.

I would be creeped out, too, if someone figured out where I lived.

I am deleting my okcupid profile because, where I am, a lot of the guys are really weird. Lots of guys with no jobs, and for some reason, lots of guys on disability keep coming after me. I have no issue with being on disability, but they have nothing else going on and wind up making me their focus way before I even meet them.

Sometimes, with the free sites, you really get what you pay for. I seem to meet more normal guys on Match.

Maybe not many people live on your street, but it IS possible he knows one of the few people who do...just a thought. I would have replied, "Why do you ask?" just because I'd be curious. As "off his rocker" as he may seem, there COULD be a logical explanation for his question.
