How do these guys find me?
| Thu, 01-20-2005 - 2:57pm |
Just had to share an email I got from a guy on matchmaker (which I will NOT be renewing at the end of the month): "I'd love to know how you keep that body fit and more importantly if I could be involved in some way."
Ummm...no.
His (photo-less) profile says he's 28 (I'm 43 and 28 isn't even close to my stated age range). He also says he weighs 187 and is very "well hung". He is looking for "a woman with an open mind, perhaps married, who craves a well-endowed good looking man who knows how to use his equipment."
As for those recent posters who are giving up on OLD or taking a break, all I can say is "What?!!! And miss winners like this guy?"

Carrie-I have had these ever-so-flattering emails myself. I have even had a guy going to graphic detail on what he would do to me. I think these guys get off on knowing that you are reading what they have written.
OLD perverts. How our self esteem would be without them-Grin!!

It's only one man's opinion....but perhaps some men look at your picture (and read the description of yourself) and interpret it the wrong

Actually that guy seemed to get off more on talking about his "equipment". I don't think my pictures pushed him over the edge :)
And as Jodie said, I have no doubt I'm not the only one he sent an email like that to.
Hi Jodie!

Pianoguy hasn't seen your picture, but he definitely knows one thing....
YOUR WARMTH WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE THE CHILL OFF OF HIM THIS AFTERNOON
Hope you're back to full mobility soon. The single women of Maine need you!! (They told me so :)

PG, sorry, but the mental image made me giggle. There you are with a nice woman watching a movie, the lights dim, glass of wine in hand, and the image of you sitting there with your leg at an almost 90-degree angle conjured up giggles. I hope you are feeling better soon!!!

Unfortunately, these guys make things worse for us that are really trying to meet some nice women. In fact, the lady I'm going on a date with on Saturday said that she gets at least 2-3 e-mails a week from guys that just come out and say they want to do the "wild thing." As a guy, I can't remember the last time a woman e-mailed me and said she wanted to "roll in the hay." This behavior is due to a guy's hormones running his mind; that's for sure.

TT - Thanks to you and the other guys on this board, I know there are nice, normal guys out there looking for a relationship. It's why I can laugh at these other guys.
Good luck on your date. As much as I love hearing about your disastrous dates (reading about one of them actually made me choke on my coffee from laughing and my coworker asked if I was okay), I wish you the best on Saturday. Where are you going? I assume buffets are out of the question :)
