Hi all... I would be interested in knowing how long it took to start getting acknowledgements (winks, smiles, e-mails, etc) after you posted your profile?

I found that the first winks/emails came quickly - often before I even finished writing my profile. But it's usually

Why wait for others to contact you? Do your own searches and send out some winks to interesting people.

It depends dannie. This last time I started getting responses the same day and got a lot the first week. Then it tapered, and now I'm getting one or two a day again. Last time I posted a profile I didn't hear from anyone for a week or two and decided to take it down because I just wasn't ready. It really depends. Sometimes you will get swamped and then not hear from anyone for a few days ... No rhyme or reason to it, although it might make an interesting study.

Hi... I have to say that I haven't had much luck so far. The first profile I had on there didn't get any attention at all so I changed my profile and it's been a week now and still haven't heard much. When I had my first profile, I sent lots of "I'm interested" thingys (like winks, smiles, etc) and didn't get any replies back. Now I'm starting over with this new profile to see if it makes a difference.

I agree with amjay. Send some winks/emails yourself. That's worked the best for me. If I just sat back and waited for them to contact me, I would've had very few prospects. Unless you count the 60-year-old Harley guys who seem to find me irresistible (no idea why).
