How many of us...

As I read through the posts, I see that so many of us here on this OLD board are actually NOT currently active participants in OLD (myself included!)

Just kind of interesting...

I reposted a profile in mid-November. I was a freeloader until mid-February when I finally paid for a one-month subscription. I could just as well have flushed that money down the toilet. I won't be renewing. When my membership expires in 2 weeks I think I'll hide my profile for a while.

CB -- That's freaking hilarious!!! And quite apt!

I've actually enjoyed my four month hiatus (reading, working out, lots of mental masturbation) and am considering going back online, but most of the folks on here whose opinions I value are OFFline!!

i think honestly, its just subjective for people (OLD). Its not for me. I had a feeling when I had started 9 months ago, but tried it out to see. I was right - but I"m happy I tried it. And i can still give advice from my experience with OLD> I really value the real world dating stuff now after doing OLD. I really think OLD is worse than real life.

In a strange way OLD has sort of become like practice for the real world. So many people in OLD aren't ready to date - that you really don't have to worry about messing up too much when you go out with them. It only gets you better able to date when you meet someone who actually is serious.

Hi,

I am currently active on OLD, and doing Much better there due to the Hilarity and Honesty of this board! When I go out on a date that is not good, I act like I am listening to him and then I begin to formulate what I am going to write about the date on this board, when I get home, as he yammers on! I come up with some of my best "cupcke-isms" there! (maybe because someone Else is paying for the alcohol!?)

You really Do have to put yourself "above the below and below the upper" and just Not give a particular rat's fuzzy posterior if they ever ask you out again. If they do not, you did not want to go anyway, or They missed out on a great mate! Their bad!

Currently writing to 3; have a nice date planned with Number 1 for later this week, for dinner, and looking forward to getting dressed up, but other than that...no "Futuring" anything about it/him/dating.

ps. LG--do they accept nuns where you are going?

Truly,
Cupcake

My new philosophy:

"above the below and below the upper"

Thanks again, cupcake!!

And I thought I was the only one who did that! Sad to say, sometimes it's the most fun part of the date.
