I wish

that there was an automatic response to an email that said:

"Thank you for writing. I am TOTALLY interested. Please send me another email with your email address encrypted so I can write you right back."

Wouldn't that be the best? Anybody else got a wish?

I wish that there was a "jerk alert" on all profiles for those that just were interested in sex...so when you clicked on the profile it was like the Avast Siren that goes off when you have a virus. WHOOOP WHOOP WHOOP JERK ALERT JERK ALERT...then I wouldn't waste my precious minutes and brain energy thinking up something witty to email him and I'd move on to someone else.

Touche! Let's explore that. Only from my experience - I have paid and paid for about five years now. Had a total of two relationships that went anywhere beyond the first date and lasted for a summer or six months. The last time I paid was for one guy (after five years I know what I'm looking for) and he ghosted. Why would I pay now?

(I'm just curious of your thoughts - not trying to be argumentative or anything)

No disclaimer necessary, I like a *good* argument. I'm not entirely sure how your experience supports your argument. You used OLD and got a result, even if it wasn't exactly what you wanted. You CONTINUE to use it so why shouldn't you pay? It's the service you are paying for not the outcome. I wish I could gamble for free and only pay when I win but life isn't like that.

Completely agree with you. I should pay. But I don't because I am hoping Mr. Right figures out that I don't pay because there are so many freaks out there, I'm not sure it's worth $30. That's not really seeing the glass half full, is it?

So - is it better to give it your all for 30 days ($30) or to pay for six months? A year? What do guys do?

ok so here is my thinking on the $30 per month. that is 6-7 large lattes at Starbucks. So I end up going 3 times a week instead of 4. yes I waste a lot of money on starbucks. you gemay not waste it there but think of what your weakness/splurge is... $30---its one pedicure, its one new blouse, its basic cable tv...and I subscribe every other month..So far I have been on since June and had two relationships and tons of first meets. First relationship was a month and a half. The second relationship is going great been dating a little over a month...To me it is a inexpensive way to meet someone who I never would otherwise.

I, too, have had tons of first meets, and even a couple more that have gone a bit further, but nothing that's lasted. I'm getting frustrated. I seem to think that I meet all the freaks that are out there. Is it just me? Or is it happening to other people too? I agree with the Jerk Siren that someone suggested. That seems to be the ones that I meet.

Hi,

I signed up for 1 month but I haven't really put much thought into the economics. I have only considered the purpose and the goal.
