That's funny, it happened to me too! I think back when I met a guy who I met on OLD and when I walked into the bar, I was looking around for him and when I noticed him, I walked over to him and asked if it was him. He said yes, and didn't smile; was frowning. I asked him if he was going to get a drink and he said I already ordered one. I ordered a drink and tried to make conversation and he responded with "this is just a meet, right?" and I replied, "yes!". He then said "well, nice to meet you" and left the bar. I was appalled by his behavior but finished my drink and left.
Not a good memory, but sometimes I wish I had the balls to act that way with some of the OLD meets I've had in the past. If you guys remember my previous thread on drive-bys; I'm favoring those types of meets nowadays! LOL

Hi Lisa,
Thanks so much for the feedback, that's so sweet! Now if only some decent fellas on match or yahoo felt the same way;-) I haven't been
Hey Michele!
You're very welcome! Yeah! There's got to be some great guys out there!! You are an undiscovered treasure.. I'm sure once match gets off their duff, and brings you out front, you will be batting them way! :)
Best of luck on your search! :)

Sheri,
I have to say that in the two events I've been to so far, I've been impressed with the quality of the people there, even if there were no sparks with a particular man. They are, for the most part, kind and decent. It's only 6 minutes you have to talk with someone, and it usually goes pretty fast. I wasn't totally turned off by anybody, and I don't think anyone was totally turned off by me. I did meet one guy who, upon discovering that I am a physician assistant in oncology, telling me all about his prostate cancer, including the fact that he, uh, is still able to enjoy "normal activities" after his radical prostatectomy!
You're talking to someone who is 44, very jaded by the singles scene, and very sceptical of OLD, fix-ups, everything! But I have to say, this has been the most fun of anything I have tried. I met 12 single men last night, six of whom I would consider talking with further. These men all appeared to be responsible, with good jobs. Not bad! I'm looking forward to going to more events, even if I don't fall in love with anyone. I talked with some of the other women there last night, and one told me that her friend found the man of her dreams at her third event, and is VERY happy, has been dating him for five months.
To be honest, I wasn't my best self last night. I was tired, didn't look my best, and did find I had to keep smiling, but sometimes you have to fake it til you feel it. I kept telling myself that I'd paid my $35, and damn it, I was going! Plus, cupid.com predating will "blacklist" you if you do not show for an event, so sincere are they about keeping the ratios of men and women equal. I appreciate the fact that they make that effort to attract SINCERE people to their events.
Thanks, that's good to hear. Hmmm...I may just have to give it a try one of these days.

I don't have a clue how to get this info to transfer to here(from eharmony), but I wanted to tell you what a beautiful job you did! It looks great and I think the pics and your words tell so much about who you really are.

Love your title!
Hmmmm ... lol. Well i have to agree that you do sound like a "princess" ... but saying " I am a descendant of nobility/royalty, honestly, but they were ousted...too bad or I'd be even more of a princess! ha ha!" shows that you have a good sense of humor about it!
Thanks!
Do you know how to cut & paste?
LOL...thanks!
~Lori
