Hello All,

I posted this on another board and would appreciate input from people on this (more appropriate) board.

Thanks

Whether they can reply to you depends on what site it is.

I would say that the two women who sent icebreakers back are interested but are not subscribers. Non-subscribers can only reply once, and only with an icebreaker. As we discussed on the other board, I wouldn't count them out completely because they are not *currently* subscribers. Why not send your email and take a chance?

So, I'm curious...re the 3rd woman, why did you decide not to take it further, since you approached her in the first place? That's always a mystery to me...guy writes to you, you reply...and then you hear nothing back. Why did he bother in the first place??? Please shed light ;-).

The answer is quite simple. I sent an e-mail that said "We have quite a few things in common but I'm slightly out of your age range. That didn't deter me, will it deter you?"

She wrote back asking a few questions about me and told me more about herself. She asked if I still thought we were a match. I replied answering all of her questions and a bit more. On the advice I got here I asked her about something in her profile. She had 'Playing music' so I asked her what instrument she plays. Her reply was "Sorry, I don't play an instrument, I don't know why that was in there, I will remove it" and that was it. I thought she would write more later on but she hasn't. So, dismissed!

I have a better idea. You post your profile and I will give an example of how I respond.
