Is it worth it?

Ok- earlier this week I sent out several "winks" on Match. I have received two back. But I am not a subscriber and they probably are not as well. I just cancelled my subscription with Yahoo... Should I sign up with Match or wait and see if they will? I hate spending this money.... I'm not a cheap person, but this OLD industry knows how to hit us in our wallets!

My advice to anyone who pays for a membership to any of the dating sites is, make sure you see enough people on there that you think you might write to

I'm the opposite. You're not violating any rules about "freeloading" because Match offers it. But the reality is, they are a business. And they do a great job of it. And the more people that pay and use it, the better it works and the more people it works for. I had a great time on Match, and didn't mind paying. It's what, twenty dollars a month? Heck, I spend more than that on lunch in a week. To me, it was worth the money for the chance to meet someone that I connected with.

I vote for trying it out for one month. It can't hurt, and it certainly can help. You can always cancel -- they don't make you sign a contract.

Just my two cents...
