Many posters who are new to OLD often ask advice about what to write in their profiles and what to comment on when they read others' profiles for the first

Funny. I had pretty much the opposite thing happen to me with my current BF.

He wrote me on a site where I had more or less abandoned my profile, and I hadn't updated my photos in several months, but I had lost 30 lbs due to medical problems since then. When I wrote back I said that I doubted if it would be a problem for him but I just wanted to let him know that I weighed less than in the photos. I took a new one and uploaded it the next day, and he said it wasn't a problem at all and that my new photo was nice.

His pics were all a little blurry, shoulders up, cell phone pics. He had told me he was trying to lose weight for health reasons, so I pretty much expected a noticeably overweight guy. This was not a problem for me. When we met he looked soooo different. I kept trying not to stare, because I could see no part of his body that I felt needed to lose weight. His face looked different too. When I got back home I looked at his pics again and his face was much fuller in them. I asked him how long ago they were taken. He said about six months. I asked if had lost weight since then. He said "Oh, yeah, about forty pounds. Why? Can you tell?"
