It's a small world...

One of the problems with online dating is meeting strangers that are too close to you geographically... last night I had a first meet and it turns out that his exwife and exwife's new husband are people that I work with... I dont know the exwife but do know the new husband... now, the man I met does want to meet up again, in fact he IM'd me as soon as I got home... barring the fact that I work with his ex, I would have been interested in meeting him again... however, because of my position in the organization, I am afraid of adding drama to my work... I have a suspicion that this person would use it ultimately to rub it in his ex's face... there still seemed to be animosity on his part toward his ex... please tell me to be wise and move on...

This sentence makes the rest of the info irrelevant....this has always been an automatic next for me.
And I've met the "too close" folks too. The last one was a mom in my kids' school.
yes, you are so right... I feel very uncomfortable with people who are sharing kids and talk so negatively about a person that they really need to continue to share a great deal of communication with... (my poor ex... I sent him to pick up more Elmers glue as I dealt with helping my daughter with her project that she once again waited until the 11th hour... )
anyways, I am not going to be following up on any further contact with this person...
Um, yeah. That could be a sticky situation. I would steer clear of it myself.
I live in a relatively small town and occasionally bump into guys I met on OLD. Kind of weird. Sometimes they recognize me (I can tell by the way they avert their eyes....he he he) and sometimes they don't. Who cares?
