I'VE GOT GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently I sent an application over to a local community college near Jim that offers a year and a half Practical Nursing course. Procrastination kept me from sending the application immediately, but I soon picked myself up from where I left off and sent the application to Jim so he can proof read it along with his mother and pay the 25 Canadian dollars application fee. This was back in early May,I sent the app in on April 25th and he recieved it on May 2nd,turning it in on that day as well. I had made some small errors on the questionairre sheet, but I made up for it with some tricks of the pen.Anyways,so today I was sitting infront of the tv watching some movies to celebrate Memorial Day and my mother says some things to me giving me the impression that she still thinks I am going to Hawaii.I go to my room upset and call Jim,he tells me to get things done and over with and call the college with the calling card he lets me use.I call the college with barely 16mins left on the card and the two people I want to get ahold of the most are not there today so I speak to someone who is like the secretary.I guess my name is spoken of a lot there because she knew my name well, lol. So she looks my name up on their computer's database and look up the status of my application and she tells me I got an unconditional acceptance which I don't quite get,but I guess sometimes you have an acceptance with a limit saying you still have some work to be done and that's not the case for me...in plain words,I GOT ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!I'm waiting to tell my parents when I get word of acceptance through snail mail that way I have hardcore proof.I'm excited to tell my father first since he does not want me going and I hope his mind changes when he hears how happy I am.Maybe that will be the same with my mother as well. How can I turn down an acceptance???I take it now that this is the time that the real work begins as I have to try my best to pass all courses(Finals is this week and Monday of next) and hope that if I don't pass a couple that my acceptance isn't revoked,a friend of mine told me it won't. I also asked the college about that and they said as long as I get credit I'm fine, but I'm still abit confused. So now the real work begins as I must bust my booty in passing and completing courses, packing up belongings and sending them to Canada and paying all the fees and such.

I believe this has everything to do with an online relationship since my guy and I met online and now are planning a future together.I just hope I don't have a rough journey ahead with my family and such.~Cherry~

Congratz Cherr! Unconditional means they see absolutely no reason why you wouldn't make an excellent student. That is wonderful news!! I hope good news follows on the note of your parents. :)

Your Mama's are STILL watching over you lol Congrats Cherry on your acceptance!!

Please be kind and gentle when you discuss it with your parents, it will become especially important that you have as much of their "unconditional acceptance" as possible, you can achieve it with a mature attitude and understanding of their concern and love for you!

Good luck on your finals!

Love and hugs

Aww thanks Jayecey.I'm hoping when I speak to them about this that when they see how happy I am that they'll allow me to persue my happiness and be there for me.Sometimes things work like that,I hope it happens this time=)
