I've Had it With OLD!!!

Ok, that's it...I'm burned out with OLD! I have tried several different sites over that last three years and have only found a handful of guys that were not liars, cheats or just out of a roll in the hay....lol.

And the few that I ended up dating for awhile where nice guys, but there was no chemistry and it was like dating my brother! :)

Oh well, I tried, but I'm burned out on the whole thing. I'm going to enjoy my peaceful life and forget about men for now. And like they say, if it's meant to be that I meet Mr. Right, then it will happen.

I'm in agreement somewhat. I look at online dating as a necessary evil of dating in the world today. Most everyone is doing it and if I don't have the time/money to be hanging out at bars (which I don't) and I don't have friends that have single friends to hook me up with (which I don't) I don't have a job where I can meet single people and if they are single they are WAY too young for me so unfortunately unless I expect the guy to fall from the sky or I want to go on the 800th episode of that lame show The Bachelor then I know I have to do online to maximize my opportunities.

My issues with OLD have more to do with ME than the men. I am a person that people are drawn to from their personality, my looks are cute, but not exotic, I'm just a typical new england girl, so I'm not someone that is just going to grab a guys attention from a picture and I think too often men don't take the time to read profiles and just go visually, I do sooooo much better when I am out meeting people because I draw people in with my personality which is hard to do with a stagnant page on the internet. So OLD is a very tough realm for me, I leave my profile up and I have met people and I just leave it up to have my options open, I just look at it as another avenue. Because he's certainly not falling in my lap anytime soon from the sky.

Although I did get a glimpse at our new hockey team this weekend and all I can say is "purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" me likes....so I may be going out more often this season after all. LOL

lol, yeah i havent given up on 'real world' dating either. I went out with friends friday night, guys talked to us, i was actually chatting it up with a very cute, nice guy who i thought was my age...he was 23. I'm 28 so that is too young for me...so again i wouldnt have had this problem on OLD, i'd have seen his age right off the bat. Nothign against younger guys, but i doubt a 23 year old is looking for the same things i am right now.
