I'm currently going through a job search and have found. I have learned that there is no such thing as company loyalty anymore with stories that friends, family and things I see on the news. Be skeptical and objective with any offer you receive. A little research into the company for example go down there and ask people coming out of work if they like their company, or make sure that they're not on the verge of going belly up. And a little lying on things they can't verify doesn't hurt either.
Vexer makes a good point with doing interviews on your own time. Also, too many lateral moves makes your resume very unattractive. So if I were you, I would conduct the interviews anyway, because interviews and dating are pretty much one in the same.
I agree about the loyalty thing. This is the first latteral move I've ever taken (it's the top of the pay range, they couldn't give me more i.e. budget), I've always gotten more money with each offer and I've only been making this salary for 4 months so it's still nice to have.
I posted this same question on this board last night but I don't see it this AM, not sure why they pulled it unless someone spammed my thread or decided to get verbal with me, LOL ;-)
All that excitement over nothing – the recruiter said that they are interested but they can’t move as fast as I’d like making a decision. Obviously, they have interviewed 30 people and I’m the first with a strong interest, they just move very slowly at that company. The way he spoke last night I thought I'd have an offer this AM. That's why I was frazzled. He said I was the first person they’ve liked so far. I’m going to start my job number one on Wednesday which would give them two more days and they know I’ve accepted but am very much interested. The recruiter is going to keep pushing…..So we’ll see. Everything happens for a reason so either way I’ll be happy and makes my life easier if I don’t have to decide.
I would just state that you have several offers on the table and proceed with the phone interview to push them along.
Isn't your current job a new one (within the last 6 months?)? Wasn't the right fit?
Good luck on the new job though!
I like that, several offers on the table.
Well, the company I took the offer from is pretty big.

Hope this helps a little
