Judgemental posts bug me how about you?

I know I'm not a CL or anything of the sort and I don't have free reign to get on these boards and tell others what they can or cannot do but I just wanted to post my unhappiness with the demeaning and judgemental comments of some of the posters to others. Like I said in another post, it's ok to have a difference of opinions but it's NOT ok to slam others to the ground. I know that I would feel safer and more willing to post about things going on with me if I knew that everyone on these ivillage communities were not going to say things that are just plain mean and hurtful. Is anyone else with me on this?

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to let you know that you are being heard, and wanted to remind you of a few things.

Because we understand that not everyone is going to get along all the time... we do have the ignore feature available. If here is a particular member who is bothersome to you, you can place that member on your "ignore" list,

Totally in agreement. If you dish it out you should be able to take it :-)

Yes but there are certain people who use a handle they never intend to use for themselves to be cruel or bash people therefore they won't be asking for advice with that handle.

ITA Mark. You do have a choice to let it affect you or not to let it affect you. Certain things do affect me when I read them at first I have to admit, but usually I think about it for a bit and then I realize that I can chose to be upset or take it with a grain of salt and realize that sometimes things are said out of malice and jealousy or personal issues against another, but other times it's just the way someone else relays opinions or advice. But great point, you chose how others affect you with what they say.

Yup, well said. I guess it's all you can do is shrug it off your shoulders and realize that most of the stuff said in anger and intent to bash is not true. You make a good point about posting pics as well. It's not safe in this day and age because you never know what could happen. Keeping as anonymous as you can is a good idea. I try to as well. I think most people know I live in San Diego but that's about it. Happy Valentine's day to you as well. I'm so happy for you that you found someone you really connect with.

That is very sweet and romantic :-) I'm sure you will have a wonderful time tonight. Smores is a great/creative idea, so are cookies :-) We are going to have an "atypical" V-day. His mom is in town from Arizona and she's leaving soon so we are going to cook dinner for both sets of his parents. We are making homemade boboli pizzas for his dad and stepmom and mom and stepdad. It should be a good time. Everyone gets cute Valentine's Day cards and I think he most likely will have some sort of surprise for me too since he does nice things quite often. I told him I don't mind sharing V-day with his parents since he's the type to show his love for me consistently throughout and I think this will be different and fun. I'm looking forward to it, his parents are very sweet.
