OK I just joined match and was kind of surprised that guys will IM right away as the first contact--no wink, no email, etc.

I emailed back to one guy who was out of state saying that I wasn't interested in a LDR, so don't you think he emails me back saying "that's why they have planes & trains" and saying he would be willing to move.

I am "curvy" myself. It's true, not all men are looking for someone a size 2.

Oh, that would have turned me off, too.

I hear ya. I live in Detroit, and maybe it is because of the economy here, but I keep seeing the same people on the OLD sites. Like you, I want someone who is educated, with a good job, and stable. After all, I feel I offer those same qualities.

But, I have gotten so tired of OLD. The meanness, the flakes, the players.

That was the good part, he wasn't moving here for me at first but two hours from where I live.

After years of online dating, I have come to the conclusion that I need to meet the woman ASAP in order to determine if I wanted to spend any time with her.

Mark, Generally I do agree w/ you not to waste endless time on emails and to meet in person pretty quickly.

Musiclover, we each have our preferences however my take is when you do get an IM then someone wants to connect with you via an option that the dating website allows which makes it "permissible."

Mark, I found it was easier just to block IM contact, but then guys who see me can still email.
