Killer Texas Cheerleading Mom on LMN

Wasn't I JUST here a little while ago complaining, laughing, and whining about another Saturday night spent home watching bad LMN tv? Tonight, right now, we have the killler Texas cheerleading mom story....about the woman who hired someone to kill her duaghter's cheerleading rival's mom. Woooo. Say that ten times fast.

Ok, I owe you all some updates. Sorry to have been a little absent this week. I have a ton going on right now, mixed in with having a couple of bad days, blah blah blah.

So as far as OLD goes I have been on two dates now with the "went on golf vacation" guy (that was what you all called him!!!). We chat or talk a little bit each day. He is 1 1/2 hours away from me. I love his sense of humor, he gets the same in me, is funny, has a cute cute smile and I like his face, height, laugh....looking forward to seeing how this develops. Not getting out of perspective or anything, just enjoying the company. I am at email stage with another guy who I have been going back and forth with. He ghosted for over a week and then replied to my last email. He seems nice but in no rush...I feel like waiting this one out. No big deal...if he wants to meet then he can ask. If he ghosts...fine. A few weird winks, some no photos, but nothing worth posting here about.

Outside of OLD I have come to an agreement with the woman whom I rent my massage studio space from to buy her small spa business! The business focuses on massage therapy, facials, brow and lash tinting, waxing, nails, pedicures, body treatments...etc. with four employees doing all this (5 with me doing massage). This is a HUGE step for me and I have been alternately totally excited and thrilled and then wanting to throw up and lay on the floor in the fetal position-lol!!! She has had this business for 20 years and survived longer than anyone in this area and had an incredible client list. She is the best around here. We hope to have it all said and done around mid-April.

So, even if OLD doesn't work out soon I will have NO time to date anyway!!

Hope everyone is ok. Again, sorry I haven't been here much to give support or humor this week. now that this decision is finally made I think I will be more myself. I hope! (grumble business plans....grumble financing....grumble spreadsheets...grumble responsibility...grumble)

XRG, that's very cool that you're buying the business! I have a friend who is a LMT and she started a small day spa and did very well (she since sold it due to a move but she's starting a new one in her new location). Yes, it will be more administrative work, but you'll be getting a much higher income than you could just doing massage (assuming the business is profitable, which I'm assuming it is or you wouldn't be buying it!). Is she doing seller financing, or are you getting a bank loan?

And glad to hear it's going well with "golf vacation guy"...when you didn't answer a couple questions about him in chat last week, I thought maybe it had gone sideways...glad to hear otherwise!

Hi Sheri~

Thanks for the well-wishes. Last week in chat JUST as I logged in an old ex (not OLD, just from the past) who called me to say hello. Odd little situation as he was my first boyfriend in high school (FIRST, nudge, nudge) and we dated for a few years after reconnecting in our early thirties. We talk about once a month now, or so. He is currently "retreading" a woman that he was engaged to and with for something like 7 years before we dated. It makes me laugh and I know that our 20 year friendship will weather the storms. I didn't mean to ignore everyone...I just can't muti-task like that!

The business is definately profitable, all the number crunching shows that. Thank GAWD for my dad who has been through buying businesses of one kind or another before. Although his are on a waaaaay bigger scale with lots more zeros!

Hope you are having a good night. I have moved onto AMC and Exorcist II: The Heritic.

Not to veer off track - but I hope your agreement (if it involves purchasing clients) is based on a percentage of collection and not outright cash for the entire business...as most of the value will come from the repeat business (which may or may not recur once the owner departs).

Hey Xriver,

That's wonderful about the business. Somehow, I have an inkling that you'll do just fine. No, make that more than just fine. There is so much potential here, it's mind-boggling. I am literally twitching with excitement for you. I'm also glad you had an "expert" look through the books and give it his stamp of approval. That must make you feel so much better. Mazel Tov (that's congratualtions in Yiddish) to you!

Also, excellent news on your golf trip guy. I am crossing all my fingers and toes that it works out for you.

By the way, if your head starts turning 360 degrees and you start spewing something that resembles pea soup, you know that you are watching too much TV. LOL!

Want to throw in my congrats too on the business, what an exciting opportunity! Just remember to try and keep a good balance between work & play, and don't be afraid to seek out any extra help you might need to deal with it all! If you don't already have a good accountant/financial planner this is all the more reason to find one. :) Good luck!!
