After 3 months of not going on a single date; here's a synopsis of my latest debacle..

We agree to meet at Starbucks last night after conversing for awhile.

I show up and she's late. I'm used to this.

She walks in the door and she's at least 40lbs heavier than her photo. She still looks ok to me but I'm already worried about what's to come.

We greet and her hands are sweating profusely. We shake and she sits down. We exchange greetings and I start to lead the conversation. Meanwhile, below the table I'm trying to get that sweat off my right hand; it's driving me crazy.. She breaks me off mid-sentence and asks if we can go somewhere else. I was going to offer to buy her coffee when she cut me off. I look puzzled and it will get even more bizarre. I asked her where she wanted to go and she said verbatim: "Why don't we go to your car?" I'm completely puzzled and asked what she would like to do in the car. Her response... "have a little fun." Then she said that it would have to be quick because she was still married and her divorce wasn't yet finalized. "I'm also bi-sexual and I hope that's not a turn-off to you" she said. By now I really needed a coffee so I asked her if she wanted one. She said no so I went and got me one and as I stood up, I could take it no more. I told her that it was nice meeting but that we weren't a good match in person and certainly not a good match at coitus. Her reaction was this... "I wasn't really serious about any of this so I'm relieved you said that." Then she got up and left. I followed her out and noticed she got into a car with another guy. Guys/Gals: I think I met a pyscho....

Back to the drawing board

Actually she found me on match.com. I've found people like this before on match.com as well as craigslist but I've never met anyone in person from Craigslist. My screening procedures are sound and I have two choices in dealing with on-line dating: Quit or just laugh it off... I'm stubborn so I've chosen the latter.

Now about the guy in her car. If he would have tried to mess with me or she had some other motive, I would have taken measures to protect myself. What a bunch of flakes...

TT

PS: I think I'm going back to my buffett bud. I'm getting hungry already and it's only 10:13am...

Sounds to me like they were possibly 'swingers'.
I never even knew that type of subculture existed until I completed some undergrad coursework in Marriage n' Family treatment modalities etc. But yeah, just about anything seems to go these days in our American culture ... LM:)

Did you talk to her first on the phone?

If she wanted a 3-some, and had a guy in the car, wouldn't she want to know if "TT" was Bi?

Your stories are a riot. You have a such a great sense of humor that even if she were remotely normal, you would have a way of making us laugh.

You are great!!

Jodie,

Actually I had bi thoughts at the time as in bye-bye. Even if she would have paid me money to do such a scenario; and that was her motive, I wouldn't have been a good candidate for that anyway. I had already crapped in my pants.....

PS: After her bi comment, I was very close to saying I was a Tri-sexual. As in I'm trying really hard...
