Leaving My Comfort Zone

Well, I have decided to come out of lurkdom and join in. My name is Stephanie and I am a 42 y/o Single mom. I have been divorced for 3 years and have decided to give online dating a try for the second time. The first time was not exactly a positive experience (to put it mildly) and I have learned alot since then. I have been reading alot of your posts and will probably want some input/advice along the way!

Hi Stephanie! Always nice to see a new, happy face. I am also in my 40's (later 40's) and have a grown daughter, none at home. Recently separated. A little confused about what I want but taking my time and figuring things out...
Hoping we all have positive experiences from here on out....

Welcome Stephanie! It is good to have new people on the board. Feel free to jump in any time and ask for advice about whatever!
Not to hijack the thread, but wow sara - I never would have guessed you to be in your 40s based on your previous posts about your clingy guy and moving so fast. It's a stereotype, but I guess I always associate that with younger folks in their 20s! ;-) You're setting a new trend.
Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to the light! LOL. I'm glad you felt comfy enough to stop being a lurker and start posting--that's great. Hopefully you'll receive a lot of great advice here and when you're comfortable to do so, give great advice as well.
How long have you been around the board?

That was 3 years ago and I think I am ready to test the waters again. I posted a profile on match and eharmony. So far, so good. I have been having fun and taking everything with a BIG grain of salt.

Welcome to the board. I'm Michele and I'm 45. I've been on these boards for about 4 months now and I tell ya, this is a great place to come when dealing with the world of OLD. It's as frustrating as it is fascinating.
Jump in any time.
