Scenario: I swap a few emails with this guy who seems compatible on paper. Then 3, 4, 5 days go by and I start to wonder if he's ghosting. At this point I'm tempted to write again to see what's up...

If I was to

>>I'm such a dork... I'm so excited at the fact that I did NOT freak out this time. Just goes to show I'm learning. ;)<<

You're not a dork for being excited. It's nice when we realize that we've grown and taken control over a new part of our lives. It feels good not to be at someone else's mercy.

Good for you for making him sweat it out a bit! Shows him that you're not going to settle for any less than you deserve and he'd better get with it if he wants to be a contender.

I hear ya.

I have been guilty of pursuing the guy who was not into me, and it feels so much better now to only respond to the guys who make a real effort and pursue me. It's a difficult lesson to learn, but I think valuable in the long run.

You are inspirational... and cute too! The fact that you're learning and hearing us (and yourself) in your head is great.

I'm proud of you. Period, end of story!
