Lessons learned this week...

Two posters' messages affected me this week (and mind you, if I'm not quoting verbatim, excuse me):

First, Sheri posted and basically said how we all are going through our individual challenges here. Whereas one thinks a challenge is not contacting a person, for another it's a challenge to go outside of one's boundaries...

The second

It depends...have I been to the restaurant a hundred times before and it was great every time before this one...or is this my first time there? If the former, then I'd probably be inclined to give it another shot to see if that was an aberration or if it's really changed that much. If the latter, not very likely!

YOU ARE MAKING THIS SO COMPLICATED!

It was your first time.

Lets talk about dating, I'm sick of restaurants.

<<Would you chase the chefs around the restaurant demanding they make it for you or would you find another restaurant?>>

I would ask them to make what I wanted! Works for me. LOL

I am so with you. Chitter chatter with all these new people. Sometimes it can become so monotonous! "What's your name? What do you like to do? What are your interests? Where do you stand on this issue?" Blah blah blah. LOLOL

i am sorry if dating isnt fun for you, but i think that dating should always be fun. yes, the nerves and the monotonous questions can be quite agravating. i agree with that. meeting someone new is never easy. but i get giddy when i know that there is a guy that wants to meet me and get to know me as much i do him. thats where i find the fun. in knowing that someone out there likes me too. and if im happy im usually having fun. im just a romantic i guess. i love love, i guess you could say. i watch a romantic movie and i go "awww" when a couple kisses for the first time or make up. i cry too, yes. and its all in the eye of the beholder too. if you dont view it as fun, or something of the sort, then (i feel) it wont be. you always have to be positive. i hope i didnt offend you with any of this! if i did im sorry! good luck in your dating adventures! I'm a romantic too, in the ways you mention...but the process of dating is still NOT fun to me, no matter how you slice it!

Don't worry, I always stay positive...but fun, it's not!

Eh, yes, it can be fun dating someone you're into...but it's highly stressful as well. I can't wait for the day when I can actually *relax* and enjoy being in a committed relationship with someone I like, rather than being in the dating phase.
