Let's be phone buddies

This isn't a complaint...just an interesting musing.
A few weeks ago, I wrote about a guy (Let's just email for an eternity) I'd met on CL who seemed to be locked into the whole email thing. After a week or so of "Hi...how's your day? Nice weather! Hope you're having a good one. Talk to you soon"- a condensed version, btw...it was time to make a break.
I sent a quickie email with my number figuring he'd probably chicken out and "ghost" on me. But, no. He actually called.
Since then, he's continued calling and emailing sporadically but doesn't seem motivated to firm up a date/time to meet. Our conversations are pleasant and not awkward, I've shown a willingness to meet up sometime...but ugh. It's just so funny that my eternal emailer has evolved into "unmotivated phone guy".
It's hard to tell if he's maybe just a bit on the shy side.

Yeah...I would have absolutely NO patience for that, personally ;-). I would have long ago sent him an email saying "I prefer to get to know someone in person, rather than by phone or email. If you'd like to meet for a cup of coffee, let me know".

That is SO aggravating.
