Lied About Age?

I'm talking to a guy who I met through Craig's List. Emails seem to go well he keeps asking me for my # and to go to dinner sometime, but he states he's 35. However based on the email address having his name in it and the information he's given me about being a business owner, etc. I've been able to figure out who he is. I looked him up on People Finders and all the information he gave me where he grew up, attended college, currently lives, etc. matches. But his age shows as 41. So red flag? Is this a big deal? Could People Finders be incorrect? It doesn't matter to me if he is 41, just that he might have lied?
Also, the other guys who have contacted me through Craig's List stop talking with me as soon as I make it clear there will not be sex on the first date. So I'm not sure if that's what this guy is looking for, except I saw he also put up an ad and he states in his ad he just wants to meet for coffee so maybe he has more honorable intentions? We haven't exchanged pics yet. I've asked him for one and he says he's going to try to send one if that's what it'll take for me to meet him. Doesn't seem to concerned about seeing mine.
Thanks!

Lying about one's age is a huge red flag IMO.
If he did lie, that is a complete dealbreaker for me. Honesty is too important a characteristic to me to tolerate any sort of lie, no matter how "small". If they lie right off the bat like that, you know he's the type of person who lies easily, and that's not the type of man I want to be involved with.
But, there's a possibility that the information you found online is incorrect. So you might ask a question like, "are you the same John Doe who went to XYZ college?" and see what he says. Or just come right out and ask.
