Hi everyone. I just started online dating a few weeks ago. I would like to know from all of you what your experience is with replying to guys who don't live close to you. Do you reply? Has it worked out? So far I have only replied to guys that live close to me except for one person. I would love any input you could give me. Thanks so much :)

Hi MM,
Welcome to the board.. and to the world of OLD...it's an interesting way of dating to say the least..You will find many opinions and some really great advice ans support here.

Ok, for LDR (long distance relationships) for me, I've had two who lived in CA (I am in MA) I am still in a 'sort of' relationship with one, but the other just didn't work out. We were only able to see each other a couple time a year, and that was rough. We both had jobs and kids which constricted our 'free' time considerably. All of the online chat and phone calls in the world didn't make up for 'in person' time that I or he would need at any given moment. It became frustrating when one of us would need a hug, and the other is 3,500mi away. It's rough. HOWEVER. If you are looking to relocate, or have more freedom than I would say, go for it. If nothing else, you gain a friend.

Good luck

Lisa
