Has anyone ever dated someone that they met on-line that lived 2-3 hours away from them? How did it work out? Pros/Cons?

well, that would be me right now! I met D online and we live 3 hrs away from each other. It's been one month and so far so good!! :-) Within that time we've gotten together on three of the weekends and then we just recently got back from a 4 day getaway!! We email/text/or phone everyday and we've made plans for things to do in Aug and Sept already!! I'm very excited about him! but a big CON is the distance...it drives me crazy but I'm just taking it day by day! Good Luck to you! :-)

i've been seeing someone for seven weeks now already, who i met online, and he lives four hours away. Things have been wonderful, i am hopeful for a future with him, and i am so happy i didn't count him out because of the distance. He's a dream come true ;)

Hi, I met someone online and we had a 2 year relationship. He lived 2.5 hours away. We broke up for reasons other than the distance. It worked out okay for us, most of the time he came here, and sometimes I went there. I live in a small town, and I try to meet men in a large city 2-3 hours from here because there are just so many more options for me. The local men that I meet just seem to be unemployed, partiers, etc. However, I am having a hard time meeting someone who is willing to literally go the distance, even though I do plan to move to the city as soon as my house sells as I see better job opportunities also. So to answer your question, I think it works for awhile, but eventually one of you is going to have to move, as I don't think it would work indefinitely. And obviously everyone is different, some would not even consider it. I liked getting away to go to his town and his house. He loved coming to my small town, larger house. Good luck.
