match or eharmony?!?

Okay

I know this question has been asked before-- but which site do you ladies like more? Logically, eharmony SOUNDS conducive to meeting your "best" match(es), but I have also heard negative things about the site, as well. I have a friend who met her current beau from eharmony (after having been on both eharm. and match), and she swears by it. I have used match and recently got out of a 3-month relationship that sprung from that. I feel like I'll be ready to date again soon, or at least, dip my foot into the water a little, but whenever I browse match, I see the same old faces. I think I may try eharmony just to try something new, but I wanna know what your experiences have been on both/either.

Thank you!!!!!

It really depends on you and your area which will work for you. Both could, one could or neither could. I personally do not like Match. I have had little luck meeting any quality guys out there as it seems like everyone is always looking for the BBD (bigger better deal). I have done eHarmony and met several guys but there has been no chemistry with any of them. I definitely think the QUALITY is better on eH, but the rules still don't change.

My suggestion would be to get a profile on eH and see the numbers and types of matches they send you before shelling out the money to join. It's not a cheap service and you would hate it if you put that money in to find out they only match you with 2 guys that live 100 miles away from you. Besides, they tend to send you coupons for 3 months for 1 deals if you complete the profile and don't join. One thing to note if you do this is that you will not be able to see photos of the guys they match you with but you can read their profiles.

In the meantime, cruise Match and see if there are guys that interest you. Send free winks if you want or see who winks at you.

You never know so it could be worth a shot!

I had a successful match (Sunday, Feb. 12th will be our 1 year anniversary) on Yahoo! Can't hurt to surf the profiles for free... I only subscribed once I found someone I was sure I wanted to contact.

I have used both but I can tell you it's takes forever to start chatting with people on eharmony, which I didn't like so much. Plus I didn't like how it took so long to see their pictures. I still need to be attracted to people. I met a nice guy on American singles.com I haven't met him yet, we are still in the talking phase, we have a lot of awkward silence that i'm unsure of.

I've done eHarmony for a year and I don't think the guys are all that great. I'm ready to try Match. I know two friends that met good guys on there. One is getting married. They didn't approach the guys that had profiles on Match.

Wow! How long were they on before they started seeing their now-current partners? That inspires me to give match one more try. I think to scrounge up some more photos, though. Did they give you any other tips?

Wow! Congratulations on your anniversary! I've never tried Yahoo but have heard good things, although match seems to still have the monopoly on OLD. What's the deal? Do they just have better PR or something? Anyway, thanks for the post.

Know what? It's all a crapshoot anyway. OLD is pretty much just kind of playing the odds that you and someone compatible might be on the same site at the same time. Just make your profile stand out, be your unique self and hope for the best!
