We've discussed this before but I'm still amazed at how many men lie about their age even by a messley (sp?) two years?

You aren't being too harsh and I wouldn't overlook that either. If a guy lies about his age to date younger women he is telling you that he is willing to lie if it will get him what he wants. That is someone with a shallow character and not someone I would want to date because he will lie about other stuff too if he thinks he has to to get what he wants. You'll never be able to fully trust him.

Thank you, that is what I was thinking. I have friends who do overlook it because it's so common on OLD.

If he can lie about one thing, he can lie about another thing. I don't overlook that...there was a guy from match who lied to me about his age...his profile said 31 but he was really 36. i only suspected it after I met him. When he confessed. I told him that was it, not seeing him anymore. When it comes to trust you can't split hairs

No, I don't overlook it, and I agree that it is a character issue.

I wouldn't have bothered to engage the guy in conversation, however...I would have just deleted the first email from him...you're not going to change who he is!

I love how he tries to defend himself as HONEST! That's rich, it really is ;-). That, and trying to say that it's somehow ok becuase his *female* friends (who obviously are as lacking in character as he is) suggested it...would it NOT be ok if his *male* friends had suggested it, LOL???

I agree with all the other people that have posted. Though being honest in their profile doesn't mean though won't turn out to be liars (been there), being dishonest from the very beginning just saves you time and heart ache learning their character.

I love his "everything else is correct" comment at the bottom. I lied about my age, but I didn't lie about anything else so it's okay. ROFL.

Thanks everyone, I had to block him - he emailed me 3 times after I didn't respond to this last email he sent that you read.
