Why do older guys INSIST on contacting me when I clearly state that im not interested in anyone more then 5-7 years older then me. I have guys that are 13+ years older then me contacting me. I guess they are assuming when I see their pic I am going to swoon? Does this happen to anyone else?
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

I am SO with you gm! Lately, with my increased traffic on Match, I have also been getting increased traffic from much older men than my profile or far outside my geographic area. I had one of those ones last week that said "Yes, I know I am out of your age range, but I am "immature" for my age". Niiiice. Also had this 40 year old cowboy who lives an hour and a half outside the city in some god-forsaken tiny town on a farm contact me because he thought "we could have fun teasing each other because he likes the Dallas Cowboys and UT and I don't like the Cowboys and like OU" also neglecting to look that I am very much a city girl. I also get the ones that have kids at home even though I say I am looking for someone without kids or that the kids don't live at home.

I do think they think that we will swoon over their picture, brilliant personality or sharp wit. Sigh....

GM - Your revised profile was so funny!!! That would be so funny, can you imagine a guy's reaction if we were to actually write a profile like that! But the sad thing is that they'd probably think we were serious! I honestly do not think many read the profiles at all though!

Thanks for the laugh!

ROFL, but you forgot one important detail:

"He must profess instant and undying love for me and then promptly lose my phone number."

hee hee

I actually do have the following in my profile:

"Tragically, not one of my friends has anything good to say about me, so you will just have to take the following on faith".

Funny enough, they are NOT lining up!
