I met someone on plentyoffish.com. He used to be a body builder. The picture on his profile is awesome. We have been chatting on yahoo messenger. He sent me some updated pictures. He has gotten FAT. Now what?

I would stop writing to him...for me, the most important thing would be the deception. I would also stop writing to a guy who told me in email that he was really 47 when he put 45 in his profile or something similar. I have no time or patience for liars.

I just don't know why people think they still look like they do when they clearly gained 20 lbs....It makes me angry and insults my intelligence. I think I will do my good deed for the year and at explain to him, instead of ghosting.

Well, if you do, just be prepared for some negative feedback, either in email or in his profile. I told a guy that I didn't want to meet him because every time he posted an ad on CL, he put a different age and honesty is too important to me to be ok with that. He didn't write back to me, thankfully, but the next time he posts an ad, he said something in it about how women on CL are unrealistic and want "perfection"--I have no doubt it was intended to be a dig at me.
