Thanks in advance!

Girl Next Door Seeks Guy Next Door

Red Sox fan here, so Yankees lovers need not apply. I try to watch as many Sox games as possible, but sometimes I get a little too emotionally involved, so I have to look away.

I am as comfortable analyzing a Shakespearean play as I am watching any of the Austin Powers movies (The Spy Who Shagged Me is my favorite). I like to read almost anything from popular fiction to classic Russian novels (I had to take a Russian Lit class in college; it surprised me that I liked it.) I'm not a big fan of science fiction, but maybe I just haven't read the right stuff yet.

I love to listen to music. From The Pixies to Pearl Jam to Dar Williams, I just enjoy a good song. I also like going to see live bands perform. I've tried to learn how to play the guitar, but it just ain't happening.

I have a brain full of obscure (and not so obscure) trivia about pop culture, so you want me on your team if we play Trivial Pursuit or other games where knowledge of obscure trivia is a plus. Unfortunately, you can't have a career spouting obscure trivia, so I've made mine in education.

Currently, I am pursuing my master's in education. I taught junior high English for three years in two different schools (private and public). Although it was certainly a memoriable experience, I am looking to do something in the field of education that doesn't include teaching adolescents.

I'm looking for a guy who's dependable, loyal, and honest. You must be passionate about something (even if it's something I know nothing about; I love to learn new things). A well-rounded education and a quirky sense of humor are both plusses.

I can of course only speak for myself, but I rarely glance at "body type". The only time I really notice it is if there is a noticeable discrepancy between the type listed and the pics. For example, if the pics of the woman make her look very slender, but she lists her body type as "A few extra pounds" or something like that, it might make me wonder if she has used old pictures.

Oh, Eric, you should know by now that you are far from the typical shallow guy...and we luv ya for it ;-)!

If you have some extra time on your hands, have a look at some guys' profiles and see how few choose anything other than slender, athletic or average as the body type they want their match to have.
