Need guys' opinion

I m quitting my job next month to start researching online business opportunities.

I have a "family" of great catchy domain names and been working in this industry for over a decade. I also have enough savings to invest in a business and to support myself for 2-3 years without income. so I can say I m financially stable and secure.

Question:
What do I tell a guy if he asks me what I do for a living? as of Aug 1st I will not have a job.
Also if I tell them about my plans will I attract gold diggers. (Not that I m that rich anyway but I can afford a comfortable lifestyle)

I personally dont like to meet someone who is not employed. I m worried to be considered a looser if I tell them I got no job but I also dont want to scare away guys who might think I m a spoiled rich girl living off her parents money...
any advice?

Seems easy enough to me. You are going to be "self employed." Maybe it's because in my age bracket I am encountering a lot of guys who took early retirement and are now entrepreneurs of some sort, but "self-employed" seems to cover a lot.

You don't really need to be making a living out of your self-employment. And you will be employed in whatever business you are developing/investing in, so it will be entirely honest for you to describe yourself that way.

Just tell us the truth. I am a guy and I look at the person not where they are financially or career-wise. I think you are worrying about it too much.... If you have a good reason to be unemployed I dont think most guys would care... If they do they are just being stuck-up.

To be honest with you and from experience most guys care about their GF 's career status.
They want someone successful but not more successful than they are as her success feels to take away their succcess!
Anyway, I hope that I dont come across as some unemployed loser (not that I dont believe there are some unemployed people with legit excuses) nor as someone who is too ambitious and career-oriented to date n build a serious relation with!
