Many women will agree with me on this one: meet sooner rather than later—don't spend a lot of time talking on the phone. The "ideal" scenario is to email a few times, the guy asks to meet and you do. Soon. Not weeks. Not months. I've met a lot of guys who I never even talked on the phone with. There's no way to tell if you have any chemistry online or on the phone. You might think you do, but you really just won't know until you meet. There have been lots of stories on this board of women who spend a long time emailing or talking on the phone to a guy, only to meet and have it fizzle. It's tempting to build up a fantasy of who a person is before you've met them.
I prefer it if the man suggests we meet, but plenty of women make the suggestion. The other thing to keep in mind is that this man may also be emailing and talking (and even dating) other women.
Hi journey...welcome to the board and to OLD.

Your final reward will be heartaches and tears if you’ve cheated the man in the glass. &nb
