yup..Sparkle...talk to him on the phone. Ask him to call you so you two can set up the meeting time and place.

I like your enthusiasm, he will too. Can't wait to hear all about it.
(yay you),

Oh, good for you. Good luck! I think I'd like to hear his voice first, but that is just me. :)

That's great to hear Sparkle! Sounds like your stacking them up...as cupcake would say. Personally, I would want to speak with him on the phone just to break the ice a little further. But whatever you decide to do, I wish you good luck!! Keep us posted.

All the best,
Libra

Good luck but try not to get overly excited until you’ve talked, met (have chemistry) and have established a dating pattern. You tend to build these guys up before even meeting and I hate seeing you get let down when they don’t follow up etc. Just keep stacking um up like the cup cake chick said and keep the faith. Each experience should be viewed as meeting a new friend and learning their story – anything beyond that is just an added bonus. That’s OLD for ya, ha!

i'm surprised that everyone is so unanimously in favor of talking on the phone first. i always found the whole pre-meet phonecall incredibly awkward and not really very helpful at all. I talked on the phone with several men, thought they sounded fine, and then found them unattractive when we met in person. Meanwhile, the one who turned into a long term relationship, I didn't talk to on the phone before we met. I could tell from the profile and emails that he was worth a shot, so why put us both through the phone torture? Oh, and plus, if you give them your phone number, that means... they HAVE your phone number! I had one guy who kept calling me for months after I'd taken my profile down, leaving me these incredibly pathetic rambling voicemails - soooo icky! i WISH that i'd just met that guy in person, determined that he was icky, and then never heard from him again.

I agree - I had an icky guy call me for 3 months after I decided I didn't like him.

I love the word "icky". It's such a fun word. I just started OLD and wondered how I was going to handle "icky" guys. I mean it's not like you want to blurt out to them "You're Icky" LOL
