I don't know if this went out to all Match members, just paying subscribers, or what... but I got this promo in my email for this 'new' site that seems to be kind

As for cost, it seems to just be an extension of Match.com so you can use the Chemistry service if you're already
But at least they do let you save and
I posted a profile there a few weeks ago. You can see your matches and "show interest," but can't read e-mails or send any.
Here's what I think so far:
- It's way too expensive
- Not enough matches
- Everyone is a "great match" -- they only categorize people into four types: negotiator, explorer, builder and something else (can't remember the 4th). I have received "great matches" who are every combination. Seems less than scientific to me.
- Very few people are on it, and nobody seems to be paying. I have not received one e-mail.
- After the lengthy survey, your profile shows up as two very short pages and you get to know very little about the person as a result. You get a lot more details about someone through Match or Yahoo.
So, I give it a thumbs down. I don't think it would be worth the money.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
Ahh, so it is extra. Interesting. Yeah, it sounds kind of like this one service I was on for a while on Tickle.com. Ugh, it was awful. The would match you up and there was a guy that I was 98% compatible with but he hadn't filled out a single thing on his profile! That and a guy that talked all about sex in his profile and I am much more straight laced. I wrote them a nasty letter and completely deleted my account with them it was so bad!
Oh well. This is just Match's new way to try to get more money out of people and swindle them into thinking this is something good.
A few weeks ago, in my email box was this offer from Chemistry.com for a free, lifetime membership (as long as I was an active member on Match.com). As you can imagine, free?, lifetime caught my attention. I filled out the necessary paperwork and am now looking at the "perfect matches" they have sent to me. I've only been with them for a couple of weeks.
I sent my friend an email for her to try it out, too. The cost to her was outragious. She wasn't a subscriber to Match.com so I don't know if that was a factor or not. The price for a 12 months-$250; 6 mths-160; 3 mth-$100; 1 mth $50. She quickly closed her profile to avoid any cost.
For the most part, the matches are better than the window shopping photos at Match.com. I like having 5 matches at a time. So far, I've reached the emailing part (there are 3 steps you have to take before you can get to that stage) with one guy. I have a couple of interested in me's and one in the middle stage of the process. I like the slower pace this site offers.
Interesting note here though: In one of my "perfect matches", I actually saw someone I knew---he definitely wasn't a match at all, no way, not ever. Honestly don't know how he came close to being a match. :)
Hope this helps.
Yup, it's a "FREE LIFETIME" membership IF you're a paying member of Match. Once your Match membership expires, your Chemistry lifetime freebie will also expire.
The prices you listed are pretty comparable to eHarmony so that doesn't surprise me one bit.
Out of about 40 "matches" so far, I've been interested in about 8... hey 20%
