Find a Conversation

Started talking to a guy last night from CL, and he asked if I wanted to do coffee tonight. I said sure, epsecially because he was really near work. Anyway, he was a pilot (not the guy I've posted about before) and aircraft owner, so I figured that even if it wasn't a love match, it would be good conversation.
Well, right off the bat he wasn't physically my type. No problem, I can always been friends, especially with other pilots. Anyway, once we started talking about flying, it became clear that there was NO way I would ever get in a plane with this guy. Too dangerous. He'd either get me killed or get my license yanked (I'm an instructor, so I'm pretty much responsible if someone I'm with screws up, even if I'm not actually instructing them). So...he asked me when we left if I'd be interested in flying to lunch with him Sunday. Right. I'm interested in that like I'm interested in cutting off my own leg Chances of survival are probably about the same. I fully intend to ghost, and don't feel bad.
But, I got to have coffee outside in January!

I did fly a plane ( dont have a license) but I was with a certified pilot who "gave me the wheel" for a few minutes. It was sooo exciting but I admit I was nervous.
Coffee outside in January was certainly a big treat.
Good for you! I'll just dream about it.
