last thursday I decided to stop emailing 'therapy guy' because I was always initiating them even though he would always politely reply and usually with "we really need to have dinner soon". blah blah blah....He did forward a joke to me this weekend all on his own. But since thursday I have not heard from him. Interesting how the emails stopped once I stopped writing them!!!

Probably a good thing. He sounded like he had a few too many issues anyway. But yes, if you are always doing the pursuing, you never know if he likes you or is just being nice. If he does like you, he'll get his act together and email or call you. If he doesn't - his loss!

How is the new site working out? Any more new winks/emails?

You know, you might have heard this once or twice on here, but there's this book called "He's Just Not That Into You" that you might want to pick up and read sometime. :)

yeah, I have that book and I've read it once but then I keep going back to certain parts to re-read. Believe it or not, it has helped me. Great book by the way!!

I'm not familiar with your particular situation here, but as for emails, I treat them like a tennis match.

I'll send an email out and wait, if I get one back, I'll answer it (send it back), if I get one, I'll send it back.

I figure if the other person is not interested enough to write me back, they must not be interested so I just let it go. I may email again in a few weeks just to see how things are or if something has happened. But I have never been the person to "drop the ball" on an email.

It is possible your guy is this way as well. He sent you an email but you didn't respond.

Now I will say, I do not treat "mass forwarded joke emails" as a legitimate response to an email I've sent. I want someone actually writing a response, not just forwarding something that 20 other people on their list is getting as well. To me, one of those forwards is not a personal note that I need to respond too.
