No Photo??

So what's up with a new connection claiming he "isn't into modern technology" and therefore cannot supply a photo? From his profile he presented as having very similar interests and beliefs as mine so we emailed back and forth. He wanted to take it to the next level and talk on the phone but I told him I'd like to see his photo first since he'd been able to view mine and I felt at a disadvantage.

I feel that if someone refuses to submit a photo they have something to hide...makes me feel uncomfortable. He has three adult children and I asked him if one of them, or a friend, could help him send a pix...so far no answer....and that says a lot!

Oh well, that's online "dating" as it were....it's all a crapshoot.

I'd be highly suspect of that as well...control issues perhaps? You don't say what dating site you're using but if he initiated contact with you, it was 99% likely he did it based on viewing your photo first. I love it when these guys then get up on their high horses and accuse you of being superficial. Hopefully this one has already ghosted on you otherwise I'd take a pass on him.

It's only fair since he saw yours. I met with one "no photo" date. We had things in common so I thought what the heck. He said he was "average" I said I was too. Well, average can mean different things to different people. So I said never again will I date a "no photo". Then I recieved a wink form another one. I read his profile, good, made me laugh, good. No picture, bad. Said he just joined up really quick so he could contact me. Yeah, right. But still there was something about him. He was pretty confident and witty. Confident people are usually not bad looking and I love witty. So we meet. He was bald, had one eye that went thataway, and drove a grampa caddy. Long story short. He made me laugh all evening, was the most interesting man I'd ever met, had so many things in common with me that it was like we knew each other already. I think I fell in love right away, I know he did. We have been together two years and I still wonder. If I had met him in a bar, would I have given him the time of day? So I don't recommend no photo dating but you never know.

Maybe he looks like Frankenstein, and he hopes to lasso you in with his terrific personality first, lol.

Some things NEVER change. *sigh*

I meet someone today for lunch. He has nice pictures. But often, pictures do not accord with reality.
