I have been on match for about 3 months now. I updated my profile and didn't get too wordy, just the basics. My title is Horses, Motorcycles, Cars... My profile says I am separated as the state I live in you have to wait until 1 year to get the final decree, however after May 8. I am done in court.

I send winks, I send emails, I send both and nothing. I don't think I'm picky people not interested. I mostly pick people to reply to that have horses and or motorcycles in their interests. I have also noticed that some people will talk and talk via email to you then just drop off the face of the earth.

What am I doing wrong? I haven't had any winks or emails in over a month.

Excellent profile LG! Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but is that a photo of you vacuuming a Christmas tree? My heart be still!

Yeah - how else do you get the tinsel off?

Time for some new Spring pictures just as soon as we can all get outside more.

Well lg, I just read your Match profile, and from all my years of scoring and ranking essays and various kinds of written papers, I'd give you an A+. Your profile is both interesting and humorous--without being off-putting. Such qualities are sadly lacking in most online dating profiles. It also sounds sincere, but many profiles sound sincere. So sincerity doesn't make a profile stand out from the masses. As you have already figured out, it takes more than a "nice"-sounding profile to make it stand out. Personally, I would think you would receive many responses from women, but then I'm getting pretty old now and no longer necessarily know what characteristics appeal to younger generations. Things have changed a lot since I was young. Even so, I DO know good writing when I read it, and your wonderful writing skills will stand you in good stead for your entire life. Anyway, thanks for writing such an entertaining profile. And old, but still happy, tea drinker

Sorry to hear the bad news, pinto lady. Well, I think "separated" is a turn-off. If I saw it in some guys' profiles, I wouldn't even spend time to read them to the point, "my divorce will be final soon." and such. It's just something I don't know at all, and who knows if all of those words are true or not. It doesn't sound to fit your case, but I would just want to be on the safe side. Well, you can change the status in May, then I hope you'll start receiving lots of winks and emails! good luck.
