I exchanged a couple of initial emails with this guy, nothing deep, just introducing ourselves. And then a week or two after our last communication, he sent me an email apologizing for not replying earlier. He then said that he'd like to be frank with me and tell me that since our last communication, he has been emailing & talking to someone whom he's pretty excited about. While it's still in the early stages, he doesn't feel comfortable getting to know one another without letting me know that upfront. But he did leave the possibilities open, if the match doesn't work out for him.

While I don't feel that it's necessary to volunteer that info to your matches, I was pretty impressed when I read that. I replied and complimented on his honesty and integrity, and said, for that, I hope we could at least be friends. Now we've been exchanging emails about dating. We talk about our matches and give each other tips, encouragements, etc. I sincerely hope that things work out for him. I think I just made a great friend online. :) Now why can't every man be more like him, honest and upfront? (I know... I am a hyprocrite... since I don't do that myself either :P)

Just wanted to share the story... and to say that there _are_ good men out there in the cyberspace! Just keep looking.
