Here's one for the books. Last time i was here i told you about a guy i was talking to online. no pic, no last name -- "sounded nice" finally agreed to meet. the first night we tried my older son ended up staying home to hang out with mom (cute) so we decided to try for the next night. i can honestly say i was really kind of excited to go meet this guy (okay okay call me desparate) -- even had friends lined up to go on "recon" and watch. good friends.

well we made the plans and then WOOOOOOWWWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW -- he went down a road with me that i never saw coming. Holy crap. started to talk about sexual stuff and how he could set me up for my first woman on woman experience. I never once ever mentioned this stuff he completely brought it up -- out of nowhere. he had big plans for me. so i dropped offline from him. he called me on my phone (yes we had talked a few times) and i let him have it. he would not even give up a picture of himself (claimed he goes to church every week -- oh i think he sees god -- just not in a church). well i was upset and kind of freaked out and as i was hanging up the phone i heard this very familiar voice behind me saying "hey are you okay? what the hell is going on?" so my ex had walked up on me completely tweaking (yet trying to maintain some sort of external sanity for my kids) I can honestly say his timing was perfect. at first i was hesitant to tell him but then i just broke down and told him. unfortunately it's at these times when i miss him the most. and that sucks.

thanks for listening.

Wow, I'm sorry that your first OLD experience was so bad! I've honestly never had something that bad happen and I've been doing it for a long time so I think that was just bad luck of the draw.

I think your new motto should be "no pic no talk". If someone is serious about doing OLD there's no excuse not to have one available to email, at the very least.

thanks for your support. it was scary more than anything. and i am no wimp. i have adopted the "take a pic of yourself for me in a blue shirt" so that i know it's from now and not 15 years ago.

i always always try to find something funny in any situation but this one was ......... just different. this guy kind of creeped me out. and the blue shirt idea??? my ex's although i am going to take credit for it. hehehehehe

just be careful -- this is the exact reason i would not for a long time go up on these "dating" sites.

I'm curious, what site are you using?

And I wouldn't go as far as to require someone to take a new picture...not everyone has a digital camera handy (I don't--I got a friend who has one to take my pictures).
