I just signed up for Match's 3 day trial as I finally had TWO people who'd emailed me that I wanted to respond to...and boy, have I been having fun removing people from my searches!!! It's very therapeutic...take THAT, jerk who never wrote back to me...you're off my list, butthead who's 45 and wants to date women 18-25. It's so nice to know I won't have to look at the same old faces over and over. Hey...does anyone know if those people show up again once you're not a subscriber?

I just remembered though...now I can see who's viewed me...ugh, I don't really want to look but of course I'll be compelled to...

I'm still not sure if the views "float" to the top of your "recently viewed you" page if the person comes back to take another look. I don't think they duplicate but can't tell from my profile that's hidden.

Sheri, I haven't done that except for obliterating a couple men that seemed creepy. As a matter of fact I wink away and never keep note of who I winked at. I guess I should just be a bit more methodical about things....lol.

Good idea.

When I cancelled my subscription, all those deleted profiles showed up in my searches. Darn! I'm sick of seeing those guys.

I do think they float to the top. One creepy guy that emailed me (didn't seem so creepy in the profile or first email) a few days ago, I emailed back. He emailed a couple of creepy replies so I just stopped responding. He was at the top of my list the day that he last responded to me when he had been farther down the list earlier.

I was a member of match about 6 mos ago or so when they just showed the number of times your profile was viewed. There was one creepy guy that I met ... at the same time the number of times my profile was viewed went up into the thousands with no other apparent emails or anything from other people.... I emailed match at the time and asked if they could tell me if all the hits were coming from one particular profile or not... they said they couldnt/wouldnt tell me... since then they apparently started where you can view who is hitting your profile... are you able to tell how many times?

When your subscription expires...THEY COME BACK.....AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

My subscription on match just expired and I just ran a search to see what happens (I've hidden my profile).

That's how they get people to resubscribe. They also won't let you see who's viewed you.

Bummer!!! I don't really care about losing the "who's viewed you" feature, but I do like being able to remove profiles from searches.

I'm just having trouble swallowing ponying up $29.95 when yahoo is only $19.95, especially since I'm coming up on date 6 with someone this weekend and may end up dating him exclusively soon anyway!

Did the prices on match go up?

Yep, almost $30 a month! I don't know what the 3 month package is as I knew I didn't want to join for that long.

I don't know if I'd say we're "almost" exclusive or not...I'm just too frugal to pay the money for both yahoo and match given that's a possibility, ya know ;-)? Especially since there aren't a lot of people on match right now I'm interested in. And yes, it's the chef...and at this point he's saying he is planning on staying here for the foreseeable future and doing work related to his previous field (voiceovers and broadcast production). So we shall see...of course there's always a chance he could move, but he's not actively looking for jobs outside the state at this point.

You're dating a chef?
