Ok, another question for everyone

I'm sitting here laughing at myself because I am either premenstrual or just really grumpy today. But here's my issue:

I was browsing through the "matches" of mine on the website that I belong to, and am finding that a lot of guys have pics of themselves with what is obviously a woman, but she is hacked out of the photo. You can still see some hair, or a shoulder, or whatever, but he took the time to chop half of her body out so no one can see her. NOW, I understand what he is aiming for, and that's fine, to be courteous or whatever for insecure women who want to believe that this man has never dated anyone else in his entire life. But c'mon...aren't we all adults here, and can't we all just accept the fact that pretty much everyone above age 16, if not younger, probably has photos of themselves with a date of the opposite sex?

I'm not sure why this is bothering me so much, other than I feel like the guy is already trying to be secretive, and I haven't even met him. I guess I'm secure enough in myself to know that he has had past relationships and there's probably going to be evidence of it. Why do some guys feel the need to be so sneaky? (Yes, there is an underlying issue that goes along with this, but this was the icing on the cake tonight I guess).

Thanks for listening, just mostly venting again. Must have been that 12:30 a.m. phone call that made me grumpy today! lol

As a rule, most guys aren't saying, hey Jack, take a picture of me "by myself" for mom or for the on line site! Usually when guys get there picture taken it's with a date or girlfriend, oh take a picture of my boyfriend and I.

OH MY! You almost had me spewing a mouthful of chicken and rice across the room in laughter on that one!! (Just the mental picture of an orange blob was too much for me to handle I guess)...Maybe that's what I feel like doing to some of these guys faces sometimes!! :)

There might be another reason for making the other person unrecognizable. Granted, cropping is the best method for photos. However, the other person(s) in the photo probably didn't sign a model release and could get upset or complain.

That's too funny! I know most guys aren't going around getting their buddies to take special pics of them to post on an online dating service, so they just use what they've got or they take a picture of themselves (those web cam ones are kinda creepy). But when I see the guy with a big ol' happy grin and the sloppy photo editing, I'm thinking: hook up with this one and you too could be the next "Cropped Out Girl" or worse, the next "Messy Orange Blob Girl". LOL
