Okay, Now What?

Had a phone conversation with a guy on Wed., we'd been emailing about a week or so. We set up a meeting for tomorrow (Sat.), with no definite plans. He asked if he could call me Thurs. and I said sure. Found out later Thurs. evening that my phone was out of service, anyone calling got a busy signal. It wasn't fixed until 10pm. He may have called, I have no way of knowing. Figured I'd hear from him tonight then. Nope!
I assume he'll call me tomorrow sometime, but how long should I wait until I call him, just to be sure we still have plans? I hate being put in this position, and I don't like waiting until the 'day of' to know what our specific plans are. Is that just me?

HI Blue,
NO, one of my Biggest gripes is when someone waits til the Very last minute to firm up plans. I find it considerate to write or email Earlier in the day, just to set things down. Then, you can block your day accordingly.
Since your phone service was messed up, call and say Just that! It is the truth, which works well, and also gives you a chance to find out the 4-1-1, so you can do something Else, if you would like to. This all goes towards Basic Consideration, which is Way high on the "Cupcake List of Good Junk", to be followed when dating a cupcake--or ANY good woman, such as the Many here! :)
If he does not respond to your call, then you go on about your biz and Ding! Next!..if they start out on such a neg foot, with no good reason, then I am All for 86-ing them!
Truly,
Cupcake
I would email him (calling would be too potentially embarrassing, if he *didn't* try to call you) and explain the problem with the phone, and ask him to call and confirm your plans. It's possible he left a voicemail that you never got, and is thinking YOU are not interested in meeting any more!
