He was so polite on the phone. He was soo normal, real life, he said he was so flattered when I called his bike shop to ask him out :) :) It's been 3 weeks ago, I thought he would never call :) I am very elated at this moment :)

Aww! That is awesome! But keep your feet on the ground! Have fun and enjoy the date, but don't let things get away from you. That's great that he was polite, flattered and humble! That is tough to find these days!

WET BLANKET ALERT: Ivos, if he was really interested in you for more than just sex... do you really think he would have waited 3 solid weeks to call you?

He knows he has you wrapped up.

Smile with boyish grin. Apologize. Grin some more on the date. Bang. Leave. Done.

That would be fine. I do realize 9 years age difference is not conducive for anything serious. So don’t feel bad for me, John and his dog.

I misread your early postings when you met and this one. I thought you were interested in a relationship with him. Sorry I misread.

Hi Ivos,

You said, "...I do realize 9 years age difference is not conducive for anything serious..."

There is an 8 year difference between the guy I have been seeing for two months and myself. I wasn't sure about the age thing at first, but it's like there really isn't much difference. We have many things in common, great conversations, the chemistry is there, etc. so who really knows what could happen, anything is possible and I'm just letting things happen naturally. I did wait to have sex with him though because I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a sexual thing.

Sure there are younger guys out there looking for the quick romp with the older ladies, but I don't think all of them are like that. Have fun on your date and keep an open mind. You never know....

I really don't know where this will go. I am being skeptical and am keeping my expectations low until I see/know more.

Way cool! Enjoy the date regardless of the way it may turn out. If you want just a fling, go for it. You are both adults. If you want more I hope he does too.

Have a great time.
